Introducing Thomas Delatte, our Sales Operations Coordinator at In-Telecom! Thomas has worked in the telecom and sales industry for over a decade, working for major brands like Sprint and T-Mobile.
These days, he helps us maintain our sales processes, improves our reporting and analytics, and maintains our CRM to keep track of the things our team is doing. He’s also been a major contributor to our new sales training program!
What do you love most about your job at In-Telecom?
I like the family atmosphere because you can talk to anyone here in any department and you are received well. It feels good to be able to speak directly to the CEO of the company. You don’t find that in many companies.
What are your career goals?
My goal is to manage a department in the Sales or Operations department. With advancement I can make more money and therefore my wife will not have to work. Family is important to me. Another goal I have is to enhance my training skills. I have worked as a trainer and currently assisting the Director of Sales Training with the curriculum.
What have been some of the most important lessons you’ve learned throughout your career?
As a family man with a wife of 5 years and two kids, I have learned that work is a place to make money but its also a place to appreciate the camaraderie of relatable co-workers for help and support.
What is your favorite NFL/NBA team? Favorite player?
I am a life-long Saints fan! I remember attending the Saints game every Sunday in the Superdome and no one was there. However, I was still a fan. Drew Brees is my favorite of all times in the Saints franchise. Also, I grew up in Houston so I am an Astros fan for MLB. My favorite player is Craig Biggio.
If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why?
I would travel to Europe, because you can visit so many places at one time due to the close proximity by boat or other means of travel. I am fond of the WWII era so I would definitely love to visit Poland, Normandy, Germany, France, Italy, and United Kingdom to name a few while I am there.
What’s Something Your Teammates Might Not Know About You?
I was a professional DJ for B-97 radio station that featured pop music. I hosted the evening and late-night show. In addition, I worked for Disney World and met so many people from across the globe. I still communicate with some of them. If you were ever at Disney World, you may have caught me dressed as the characters Pluto, Buzzlight Year, Rafiki from Lion King, and Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh.
